AMI GLAS - Plain Cloth
AMI-GLAS® (GL) is a 100% fiberglass cloth and considered the dependable standard for removable insulation pads for pipe and valve protection. It is used on the hot surface side and is rated to 1000°F (540°C) continuous service. A ravel resistant coating (RR) is available. AMI-GLAS (GL) meets the US Coast Guard and military specifications. A heat cleaned AMI-GLAS (GL) product is also available.
AMI SIL (AAS) - Aluminized Cloth
AMI-SIL® (AAS) is a very high heat resistant fabric made with 96% amorphous silica with an aluminized or metalized polyester film laminated to one side. Aluminized AMI-SIL fabrics are as attractive as they are effective against extreme radiant heat. AMI-SIL (AAS) is rated to 450°F (232°C).
VEXTRA (GLV) - Vermiculite Cloth
VEXTRA® (GLV) is a heavy duty, fiberglass fabric with a tough, durable vermiculite coating and ideal as a base fabric for removable insulation pads for high heat industrial piping and equipment environments. The fabric is rated to 1000°F but with the vermiculite coating can remain stable to 1500°F (815°C). The coating is chemically inert, noncombustible, and odorless.
